Gala Day 2012 returns this year for its annual event on Soldiers Field, Roundhay Park.

Gala Day 2012 in association with Yorkshire Cancer Centre begins at midday this Saturday, taking over Soldier’s Field and attracting thousands of visitors from all over Leeds.

The event which runs until 5pm is a fantastic family and community event which has something for everyone including the sensational Red Devils parachute Display Team (weather permitting of course).

This year visitors can enjoy a Children’s Funfair, Sizzling Bar-B-Q, Brass Band, Beer Tent, trade stalls, Zumbathon, Majorettes, ‘Olympic’ games, Irish Dancers, Champion Gymnasts, Pony rides, Dog shows, WY Fire Service Road Show, an Afternoon Concert and lots more. The Gala is not to be missed and once again entry is free!

The organisers are still on the look out for prizes for their Grand Raffle & tombola – so anyone who can help would be most welcome in helping the event raise additional funds to benefit the charity’s cancer patients.
