To celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Pat Riley and Val Crompton of the Adel Players are showcasing a local history play directed by Mike Andrews called ‘On the Road through Adel’.
The play starts at 7.30pm in Adel Church, followed by a Jubilee supper afterwards in the Stables on Back Church Lane. Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children. Please see the bottom of this post for who to contact for tickets.
Founded in 1945, Adel Players is a long-established amateur drama group with at present over 40 members. They put on three plays a year in their own theatre space at the Adel Memorial Hall in North Leeds as part of the Adel Sports and Social Club (Adel War Memorial Association).
As well as putting on plays, they also run a programme of social events for members including informal play readings, trips to the theatre and meals out, not forgetting the after show parties!
